ICE USA attracts a comprehensive range of buyers and decision makers from companies who convert and process flexible web based materials. Attendees gather every two years from across the Americas to learn about new technology and make key purchasing decisions. With its highly specialized exhibition profile, ICE USA 2013 offers national and international converting industry suppliers an ideal platform to present and demonstrate innovative products and services, and to establish successful new business relationships in this large dynamic market.
The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) will present a special educational course for converting industry professionals at ICE USA 2013 in Orlando, April 9-11. They will join AIMCAL, CEMA and TAPPI Place as leading industry associations participating in the ICE USA Conference Program.
We will define the basic properties of pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) and discuss how polymer and material properties combine to give the unique performance attributes of tapes. We will go on to explain how these properties affect what happens during bonding – how bonds form, and what can prevent them from forming properly, as well as how these properties affect converting processes. We will also include a discussion of common test methods used to qualify tapes – what they are performed, what they mean and how to relate the data to real applications.
