PSTC Announces 2003 Dahlquist Award Winner
Northbrook, Ill., May 21, 2003 - The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) named Renata Jovanovic of the University of Ottawa recipient of its coveted 2003 Carl Dahlquist Award.
The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council presents the Dahlquist Award to one speaker at each annual technical conference who, following the evaluation of a panel of judges, demonstrates the very best in research relating to adhesive tape technology. The selection covers a range of criteria, concentrating on originality and scientific contribution, but also including presentation and quality of visuals.
Jovanovic's presented "Polymerization Reaction Monitoring for PSA Production Using an ATR-FTIR Probe" at PSTC TECH XXVI, May 7-9, in Washington, DC. It was one of 25 papers during the three-day event. Jovanovic is a doctoral student in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada. Her research interests include polymer reaction engineering, including solution and emulsion polymerization kinetics, monitoring and modeling, modeling of structure-property relationships of emulsion-based pressure-sensitive adhesives and statistical design and analysis of experiments.
Her winning paper, along with that of the other speakers, is published in the PSTC TECH XXVI Proceedings. You can order the proceedings at www.pstc.org, or by calling 877-523-7782.
