New PSTC Tape University Format Exceeds Expectations

Northbrook, Ill., September 24, 2007 - The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) took their experienced faculty and proven curriculum to the new Chemsultants International laboratory and production facility for its successful September 17-19 Tape University Fundamentals of Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tapes class.

Combining efforts for this class is just one result of the Alliance for Excellence in Tape Testing, formed late in 2005 by PSTC and Chemsultants International to provide educational opportunities and resources on proven tape testing methods and state-of-the-art tape testing equipment.

Forty attendees experienced classroom lecture and discussion, as well as small group manufacturing, analytical testing, physical testing and coating and drying demonstrations in the state-of-the-art Chemsultants International facilities. Among the highlights noted on course evaluations:

Comprehensive overview of all the systems that interact to make PSA tapes
Having the class at Chemsultants facilities was a special experience
All new employees to the tape industry, regardless of their degree(s), should attend the class Organization, format and quality faculty
