PSTC 2007 Week of Learning Meets Attendee Needs

Northbrook, Ill., June 6, 2007 - About 550 tape professionals from 21 countries enhanced their pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape knowledge at the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) 2007 Week of Learning, May 14-18 in Orlando, Fla. The PSTC Week of Learning is the ONLY industry event focused on PSA tape.

The Week of Learning featured Tech 30 Global Conference VI - three days of technical exchange showcasing 23 technical and business presentations on tape topics. Known for its technical excellence, 2007 was the 30th time PSTC brought the best of the best together, furthering tape as a preferred method for fastening and bonding.

Tech 30 Global Conference VI papers are published in the conference proceedings, available at http://www.pstc.org/publications/tech_seminar.php.

Other Week of Learning events included:

Two Tape University classes: the two-day 102 technical course for advanced personnel and the one-day course with basics for sales and marketing team members.

Formulating Techniques Workshop: a one-topic, two-hour workshop led by Chrétien Donker of Eastman Chemical Company and Don Pierson of Rohm and Haas Company.

Exhibit Showcase Luncheon: 53 leading suppliers to the tape industry displayed their wares and supported their customers at the PSTC event.

Poster presentations: seven informal presentations were made of technical works-in-progress for attendee discussion and enhancement.

If that wasn't enough, open evenings in the beautiful Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Orlando setting provided attendees the opportunity to gather informally with their peers.

The PSTC 2008 Week of Learning is set for May 5-9 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore, Maryland. The TECH 31 call for papers is available at http://www.pstc.org/weekoflearning08/call.php; abstracts are due August 31, 2007.
