Tape University 101 Held in Chicago

Northbrook, Ill., September 13, 2005 - The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council brought together manufacturers, suppliers and customers for a key training event, Tape University 101, Fundamentals of Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tapes, September 12-13 in Chicago.

"When all stakeholders in the pressure sensitive adhesive tape channel understand overall tape production, the result is saved time, higher quality products and satisfied customers," said Steven P. Hebert, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics and Tape University faculty member.

The event included discussion on polymer fundamentals, PSA tape fundamentals, testing, rubber adhesives, acrylic adhesives, silicone adhesives, liners, industry trends, coating/drying, converting and analytical methods.

Other skilled faculty included Lawrence G. Kuntz, Adhesive Applications, Inc.; Roopram Ramharack, Ph.D., Adchem Corporation; Graeme A. Roan, Ph.D., National Adhesives; and Stan Williams, Shurtape Technologies, LLC.

The next Tape University events will be held in Las Vegas during the PSTC Week of Learning, May 1-5, 2006.
