Booth to Demonstrate “The House that Tape Built”
PSTC recently announced its participation as an exhibitor at the 2018 NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS), taking place January 9-11, in Orlando, Florida. IBS attendees visiting PSTC’s booth (#S1626) will see first-hand how integral pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape is to the construction of a well-built house. “From the crawl space to the roof and all places in between, we’re going to show PSTC booth visitors just how a house is built using tape,” said Michel Merkx, president of PSTC.
According to Merkx, while PSA tape used in construction projects is not unusual, there are applications that may not be immediately thought of when considering tape for building. “Sticking things together is typically the first thing people think about when they think about tape,” explained Merkx. “And while it helps to understand tape’s innate ‘stickiness’ that plays a key role in its functionality, PSA tapes also provide barrier against water and help to increase a home’s efficiencies, providing barriers between the home’s structure and the outside elements.”
Exhibiting for the first time at IBS, the PSTC booth will feature interactive application demonstrations on video and other electronic devices as well as specialized building and construction literature for attendees to take with them. “We’ll also be showing how tape can contribute to a home’s overall aesthetic style,” said Merkx. “In fact, because of the many tape applications in a construction project, booth attendees will be able to speak with PSA tape experts ready to answer all of their building questions.”
