PSTC looks forward to 2nd Markets and Applications Track: Building and Construction at 2020 Annual Event
Association explores more PSA tape verticals, conducts automotive industry research study
The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC), the leading North American trade association for pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape manufacturers and affiliate suppliers, has begun preparations for the second iteration of its Markets and Applications Track: Building and Construction. The educational track will be a key part of its revamped annual event next year, held May 4-7 in Orlando, Florida.
Based on a successful first Building & Construction Track at this year’s PSTC Tape Summit, which saw the registration of over 70 industry-specific professionals, the second iteration will be expanded to include even more educational sessions. This expansion comes in line with PSTC’s primary mission to draw attention to the advantages of using PSA tape in building and construction projects over traditional bonding methods.
“We were immensely pleased with the results of our inaugural Building & Construction Track and are committed to ensuring that next year’s attendees walk away with an increased desire to explore PSA tape’s invaluable benefits and practical applications to their work. As we explore more industry verticals to encourage a more widespread adoption of PSA tape, a key goal for PSTC moving forward, we have also initiated another research study – this time on the automotive industry. We plan on sharing the results of this study with our membership in the coming months,” said Michel Merkx, PSTC president.
Upon completion of the automotive research study, carried out in partnership with research firm Brakethrough Research, PSTC is set to announce the soft launch of the Automotive Track at its 2020 annual event, leading to its official launch in 2021. This study is the third in a series of investigations into the behaviors and decision drivers influencing PSA tape usage in various industry verticals, following its research on the building and construction industry done in 2016.
The second Building & Construction Track and the soft launch of the Automotive Track are just two in a number of upcoming changes and improvements to PSTC’s annual event, historically called the Tape Summit. More details regarding the annual event will be communicated soon, with a major announcement coming in November.
